This is probably my favorite Guided by Voices song, and it’s off of Alien Lanes, which is definitely my favorite GBV album. I had no idea they made a video for it, and I’ve never heard this (in my opinion inferior) version of the song, which comes from a rare EP. It seems like they tried to make the song a bit more commercial and ended up stripping it of its charm.
