I had no idea this 1989 photo of two of my favorite musicians existed.  I knew that Dinosaur Jr. had opened for The Cure a couple of times that year on the Prayer Tour, but this article tells the tale of when they first met (and this photo was taken.)  It’s a great article.  If I had a time machine, one of my first few stops would be one of those shows.  You know, after visiting the future and stuff.
